Examination of cleaning staff's work clothing in terms of clothing comfort

Work clothes are defined as clothing used to protect employees from bad environmental conditions, prevent the risk of exposure to harmful substances, or minimize risks. Work clothes greatly affect the efficiency of work. That is why the effect of work clothes on productivity and work comfort is very important for employees. Work clothes should be easy to use, fit the body features and be comfortable. In this study, which is called the examination of cleaning personnel's work clothes in terms of clothing comfort, a screening model was used. According to the cluster type random sampling method, the sample of the study was composed of cleaning staff working in public schools in Keçiören and Yenimahalle districts of Ankara province. Schools in Keçiören district were grouped and eight cleaning staff were photographed from seven different angles with their work aprons in schools randomly selected from among these groups and the first sample group and Yenimahalle district a second sample group was formed by grouping the schools in the city and interviewing 10 cleaning staff in randomly selected schools from among these groups. In order to determine the comfort of the work aprons of the 102 cleaners who made up the third sample group, a questionnaire was developed and applied. In the first part of the two-part scale, the participants' personal information was included, and in the second part, questions prepared to determine sensory comfort, psychological comfort, body movement comfort and thermophysiological comfort were included. According to the results of the visual analysis of the photo shoot, it was determined that there were problems with the size, arm length and arm length of the work aprons. According to the results of the interview, it was concluded that as the field of study and the work changed, the satisfaction levels related to the apron changed. According to the results of the survey, it was determined that the cleaning staff had problems with the use of a single apron for color, fabric, model and summer-winter seasons. In general, it has been determined that work aprons are not comfortable and employees offer suggestions in terms of color, fabric and model.
