Kinetic study and comparison of glucose isomerase enzyme in plug flow reactor and fluidized bed reactors and to determination of the conversion profile to fructose along the reactors

Glucose Isomerase half-lifeand productivity for H/D ratio of 3.75 plug flow reactor was found as 122 days and 5528kg dry substance converted to fructose/ kg enzyme, respectively. H/D ratios of 2.67, 1.71,1.25 for fluidized bed reactors; half-lives were found as 143 days and productivities werefound as 6360, 5995, 5643 kg dry substance converted to fructose per kg enzyme,respectively. At the end of the half-lives percentage conversion to fructose for PFR wasfound as 42,13% while they were 39.24%, 38.05%, 37.9% for the fluidized bed reactors ofH/D ratios of 2.67, 1.71 and 1.25, recpectively.Key Words: Glucose Isomerase Enzyme, Plug Flow Reactor, Fluidized Bed Reactor, Half-life, Productivity
