Özet (EN)

Migration is one of the radical stages of change. Therefore, in the process of migration and urbanizm devotion differentiates theorotically (belief), practically (warship) and socially with the changes seen in other social phenomena. Although Turkey is considered as a migration country the migraiton in terms of woman is rarely issued. In this study, religious change in terms of migration in Diyarbakır has been issued. Wwomen community is the group which is most vulnarable to the negative results led by migration. But nevertheless migration brings about opportunities of modernization for woman in many ways . But the use of these opportunities is closely related to the understanding of religion and devotion, her statu in the family and financial conditions. The migration in Diyarbakır has considerably increased as a result of extremely violent circumstances and the city has ben reshaped by the migration. According to the research the devotion of the women migrated to Diyarbkır has increased to some extent.Particularly those migrated volunteerly, finacially in a beter condition and those being with religious communities or Tariqats are more religous in terms of social devotion. Younger migrated women are closer to modern beliefs and practices while middle aged and older ones stay away from them. The women move popular beliefs and practices to urban life with migration. Even such beliefs and practices has increased among migrated women for various reasons ( e.g. having more leisure time, transportation facilities, the increse in expectations) The political behaviours the woman has after migration affects her devotion as well. The devotion of the women attending secular political activities decreases.
