Abstract (EN)

This thesis examines the effects of migration on economic structures and employment dynamics in the tourism sector in the case of Marmaris district of Muğla province. The role of migrant labor in the tourism sector and its effects on the local economy will be discussed from both social and economic perspectives. Marmaris, as one of the leading tourist destinations in Turkey, provides an ideal case study to understand the role and impacts of migrant labor in the sector. The study analyzes the employment profile, sectoral distribution and local economic contributions of migrants in Marmaris and makes strategic recommendations on the current situation and future developments. Migration has significant impacts on economic and social structures. This thesis examines the effects of migration on employment dynamics especially in the tourism sector in the context of Marmaris district of Muğla province. Marmaris is a suitable case for this research due to its touristic attraction and high rate of migrant labor force. The research aims to understand the role of migrant labor in the sector and its effects on local economic and social structures.
