İmmigration and everyday life: An analysis on the daily life practices of Syrians

The concept of migration is a social fact that has been faced with throughout all historical processes and is the catalyst of social upheaval. In this study, of whose general framework is the concept of migration, the newly emerging internal dynamics of society have been tried to analyze by addressing the changing social structures and social facts. To this end, Michel De Certeau's theory, which represents his efforts in the exploration of everyday life are stated as the theoretical framework. In this study, the daily life activities of Syrian refugees whose approximate number is four million people in Turkey – becoming the largest group of refugees of the moment in the world – have been analyzed through De Certeau's terms of "strategy" and "tactics". The main claim of this study is that "the common hero", the sole subject of the social upheaval and transformation is the ordinary people of daily life and the fact that these ordinary people gradually change the society at the same time they gradually change "within the society".
