Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, samples of drilling core of boreholes BMK-1 and BMK-2 which was filed by MTA involve of investigation mineralogical and petrographic, at the North and southwest of the Göcenoluk village, in the South of Eskişehir province. By researches lithologics described in based rocks, Eocene limestones, borate unit, a lower limestone, an upper claystone, an upper limestone and basalt. Alternations of claystone, siltstone, tuff (and tuffite) and limestone are observed frequently which contain thin to thick borate ore zones. Veins, massive and nodular are scattered in these zones (claystone and limestones) and associated with the above mentioned lithologies.Mineralogical anf petrographical investigations pointed out mineral assemblages and textures within borate units. Borate minerals named, the primary and/or secondary structures were identified and minerals comment on sedimantation.10 samples are analysed by XRD method for the determinations of borate types which gave boraxs, tincalconits, kernites, probertites and colemanits. Upper sections of boreholes BMK-1and BMK-2 observed colemanit mineral. Borat minerals accompanier gangue mineral dolomite. Keywords: Borate, Kırka, mineralogy, petrography, Eskişehir.
