Abstract (EN)
This study is aiming to designing a soil resources database and assessing of land use in Gökhöyük State Farm, located within the borders of the province of Amasya. The area of the research subject agricultural enterprise is 25,635.7 decares and hosts various agricultural and land use models. Based on Soil map prepared with detailed soil survey mapping technique of 11 different soil series, all spatial information (x and y coordinates of the relevant soil sections) and non-spatial information (soil texture, gravel and % lime, organic matter ratio, soil reaction pH, depth of soil, soil erosion, soil salinity and land slope) about soils using ArcGIS 10.5 program, entered the database prepared for our research and interpreted.Using this database, thematic maps were created showing the important soil properties and taxonomic classes of the soil of the study area.These data were also used to evaluate soils of study area for agricultural and other forms of land usesby using the ILSEN Land Evaluation model. The database created for the research area and rsults of the suitability evaluatins will contribute to the agricultural development service of the experts in this field and will help answer many questions to achieve the goals for today and tomorrow.
