ABSTRACTMaster ThesisEFFECTS OF DIFFERENT ZINC SOURCES ON THE GROWTH, DIGESTIBILTY ANDSOME TISSUE ZINC LEVELS IN RAINBOW TROUT (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum1792)Hande GÜNDOĞDUFırat UniversityGraduate Scholl of Natural and Applied SciencesDepertment of Aquaculture2007, Page: 30In this study the effects of different zinc sources that used in the practical trout dietssuch as zinc sulphade (ZnSO4·7H2O), zinc oxide (ZnO) and zinc picolinate (ZnPic) on thegrowth, digestibility and accumulation in the some tissues in rainbow trout were investigated. The supplementation of zinc sources to the diets were 30 mg zinc / kg feed level. Total 360 fishwere used and experiment lasted at the end of the 4 months. At the end of study growthparameters (final fish weight, spesific growth rate, feed conversion ratio) and proteindigestibility were not effected by the zinc sources (p>0,05).There was significant difference between test groups in zinc contents of muscle, bone, liver and caudal fin were 42,09±0,4, 79,81±0,5, 60,30±0,5, 41,27±0,1; 38,5±0,2, 66,38±0,3,55,68±0,1, 30,28±0,2; 45,9±0,6, 91,04±0,3, 65,72±0,4, 50,45±0,1 µg/g respectively (p>0,05).Key words: Zinc sulphade, Zinc oxide, Zinc picolinate, Rainbow trout.
