The new state of volunteering "E-Volunteering" and Aydin Youth Center volunteers' e-Volunteering awareness

This research focuses on e-Volunteering activities that are just starting to come to the fore. e-Volunteering has developed rapidly as home production has become mandatory due to the pandemic process. In this research, what the concept of e-Volunteering means and what is the scope of e-Volunteering activities are explained. The difficulties and advantages of the volunteer youth who organize and participate in the e-Volunteering activity are emphasized,and the importance of e-Volunteering for them is explained. As a result, in this study,volunteers' level of participation in e-Volunteering, which develops day by day, and their awareness of e-Volunteering were revealed. The study was conducted using the interview method. In the study, interviewed totally 30 people. Emel Mustafa Uşakli Anatolian High School Young Office's 10 volunteers, Aydin Adnan Menderes University Young Office's 10 volunteers, Aydin Youth Center's 10 volunteers were chosen from between the ages of 14-29. In this research, semi-structured interview technique, one of the qualitative research techniques, was used as a data collection tool. In this study, the participants were interviewed separately. The findings were presented without any statistical processing. The participants were asked questions about traditional volunteering and e-Volunteering, descriptive and content analysis was used in the analysis of the answers, and the statements of the participants were written without any changes. As a result of the study, the interviewed individuals emphasized the importance of traditional volunteering and stated that e-Volunteering eliminates the difficulties of traditional volunteering and creates different and many opportunities for people. Thanks to eVolunteering, sharing the information that is obtained easily and with less expense with others has become a distance. However, there is a significant difference between traditional volunteering and their participation in and organizing e-Volunteering activities. Participants who prefer traditional volunteering do not prefer e-Volunteering. Because there is no physical contact in e-Volunteering activity. The communication environment established in traditional volunteering cannot be created in e-Volunteering. Ultimately, the lack of sincerity in e-Volunteering, unlike traditional volunteering, is the main reason why volunteers do not prefer e-Volunteering.
