Abstract (EN)
The GPR6 receptor is highly expressed in the hippocampus, and since this region plays an important role in memory processes, testing whether this receptor has a role in memory functions remains an important research topic. To this purpose, the effect of a molecule called CVN424, which is a potent and selective inverse agonist of the GPR6 receptor, has been investigated on spatial memory. CVN424 has been found to be effective in models of Parkinson's disease and has entered the clinical trial phase in humans.
