Abstract (EN)

With the rapid development of information technology, our modern ways of communication and information transfer have undergone changes. Electronic enviroment pioneers the emergence and becoming widespread of these communication ways. In this research, on the basis of interaction concept which is the outcome of technology and multiple media ways, interactive designs in graphic design field, interactive e-books specific to electronic publishing and interactive e-cover design, which forms the title and hypothesis of this thesis, are focused on. In the examinations carried out within the context of this research, it has been seen that most e-book cover designs, which are prepared for pre-school students, don't have enough interaction and cover designs are just the menus which are made up of interfaces. By choosing three interactive e-books ,which have been prepared and put into use in digital media by various publishers for preschool children, interactive e-cover design has been created for these e-books. In order to make designs more effective, HTML, CSS and Javascript programming languages have been used. By preparing a scale to determine the expediency of the interactive e-cover designs created for preschool children and whether they are successful in terms of interaction or not, expert academicians have been asked for their assessments. In the light of the data obtained, it has been concluded that these interactive e-cover designs ,which are both appropriate for children's level and engaging and support their creativity, are fit for the purpose and successful in terms of interaction.
