Özet (EN)

Turkish Cinema of Yeşilçam tells stories that promote unity, solidarity, cooperation and the good always win. However, the stories of Modern Turkish Cinema foreground the concepts such as individualism, evil and maliciousness that coincide with the reality of our current life. The reason why modern-day moviegoers watch Yeşilçam films over and over again without getting tired of them, is that these nostalgic films have the mission to mend the wounds of the individuals who lost against the cruelty of life. Yeşilçam has turned into an illusion or a daydream for those who refuse to face the reality of merciless life and its representative Modern Turkish Cinema. Based upon the filmographies of Ertem Eğilmez and Zeki Demirkubuz, formal and contextual separation of two different eras of Turkish Cinema (Yeşilçam and Modern Turkish Cinema), the evolution of Turkish Cinema, the relationship we have as watchers with these two different eras, have been put across with fictionalized scenes by forming a post-modern narration.
