Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the volatile compounds found in the Helichrysum (gold herb) plant belonging to the Asteraceaae family, naturally distributed in Gümüşhane. The volatile compounds of plant samples belonging to the Helichrysum arenarium and Helichrysum pallasii species taken from five different locations were determined by the Solid Phase Micro Extraction (SPME) method on a GC-MS (2010 Plus) device. When the obtained data were analyzed, the prominent common components of H. arenarium and H. pallasii collected from different locations were phenylacetate (19.24–12.99%), β-caryophyllene (10.19–9.21%), undecyl alcohol (8.68–6.72%), Δ-cadinene (8.59–5.72%), phtyone (8.08–5.83%), ɣ cadinene (8.03–4.45%), heptadecane (5.88–4.69%), hexadecane (5.47–4.42%) and tetradecane (5.03–3.66%).
