Venus and its solution in contemporary art practices

Abstract (EN)

There are several effects- including mythic, sociologic, or current trends on art practices- can be seen while evaluating "Venus" image on contemporary works of art. During the decades, Venus image has been re-produced by various artists and analyzed according to the sociological aspects. Thus, Venus has a very significant place, especially in painting art. After the Modern Art concept like painting art, photography or graphical design, first revealed in the 1960s, there is a significant effect of Venus image. The term „contemporary art‟ can be appeared as „Cagdas Sanat‟ in the Turkish language; however, it does not have any trend like modern art. It appeared after postmodernism of „contemporary art,‟ but it scaled up the boundaries and changed its limits. From the early 70s to these days, it covers a lot of topics including ecological factors, globalization, feminism, AIDS, and multi-cultural aspects. With contemporary art,vii several compositions are results of not only the idea but also the application of the mental process. There are several compositions can be given about the feminism that also affects the vast mass of people. Hoffy Doly, Yves Kelin, and Niki de Saint Phalle are essential examples of prominent artists who use Venus image at a given period of time. There is a reason to affect people and various artists who accept these principals on their works: Contemporary art can make people free due to its powerful functions. In current arts, artists do not have a shape of expressions, and they have an ability to make ironies as state of the art. The life matters and visions of artists, who accept current art aspects, can point out the future life as a reflection. Thus, it is crucial to analyze the current art techniques, and approaches to use Venus image can reveal the background of the method, since the history of Venus from ancient Roma.
