Problems encountered by immigrants from Southern Mediterranean to France

Migration movements that took place as a result of different dynamics in different periods of history continue today and will continue in the future. The Mediterranean basin is one of the most important regions where international migration movements occur, and migration movements in this basin require research with all their dynamics. In the research conducted in the Mediterranean basin, issues such as illegal migration, border security, and immigrant smuggling come to the fore, but migration is not only about the moment when the act of migration occurs. The problems that immigrants face after migrating to the target country are also included in the immigration process. In this study, the problems faced by immigrants from North Africa to France were investigated and the document analysis method, one of the qualitative techniques, was used during the research. Research conducted in the literature was promptly examined and analyzed using the document analysis method. As a result of the literature review, studies suitable for the subject of the study were identified and in line with Everett Lee's Push-Pull theory, the push and pull factors that were effective in the migration of immigrants from North Africa to France were identified and after the migration, health, education and other factors in France were determined. Problems encountered in employment and social areas were analyzed. The immigration policies of France, a member of the European Union, are discussed together with the immigration policies of the European Union, and the relationship between these immigration policies and their effects on immigrants from North Africa to France are investigated, and discriminatory, racist and exclusionary attitudes and discourses are generally considered as the main problem. allowed it to be identified.
