Abstract (EN)
In this study, some biological characteristics of Arnoglossus kessleri was investigated. A. kessleri were caught in Southwest Black Sea (Sinop-Iğneada) from November 2017 to August 2018. A total of 453 individuals were sampled. The mean length and weight were measured as 5.75±0.68 cm and 1.97±0.66 g, respectively. The overall ratio of females to males was 1/0.88. Von Bertalanffy growth constants were calculated by using growth characteristics (L∞=10.94, W∞=11.86, k=0.228 and t0=-0.77). The length-weight relation was calculated as W=0.013L2.8418 for females, W=0.0117L2.8981 for males and W=0.0124L2.8688 for all samples.
