Abstract (EN)
The aim of this project is to study features of design, motif and colour composition belonging to the 15th and 16th centuries of the fabrics of the otoman palace and to analyse how and whom they are assessed by in today?s fashion design.The origin of this project consisted of all the fashion designers using fabrics of the ottoman palace. In the sampling of this study, Cemil İpekçi and Faruk Saraç using fabrics of the 15th and 16th centuries in their fashion creations and also accepted required meeting have been selected.The 10 question of the negotiation form developed by the researcher has been carried out to Cemil İpekçi and Faruk Saraç. In the acquired negoliation and knowledge form, details of ten clothes in total consisting of five items belonging to these two fashion designers have been drawn out. The quality of fabric, preparation studies, provision of accessory, preparation of creation have been recorded as question and format by taking notes.In the study, fabrics belonging to the 15th and 16th centuries are major. In these fabrics herbal motifs, motifs inspired throught nature, animal motifs, geometrical motifs are used. The design sites are outstanding. The amazing harmony of the composition is mostly seen in the fabrics. In the basic of the fabrics mainly black and cream as well as colours of while and cinnoman in the motifs are used.Key Words; 15.th and 16.th century., Ottoman Palace Fabrics, Fashion Design, Colour, Pattern and Design Properties.
