Abstract (EN)

SUMMARYThis study is limited with the topic, ?The Study of Calligraphic Association of Ideas ofOrganic Forms according to the Lines and Colors in Today's Illustrations?. This thesis isdiscussed in both two parts, theoretical and execution. The theoretical part of the thesis isconsisting of three sections.In the first section, information about historical development adventure of calligraphyis given. Also, calligraphy definitions obtained at the end of a literature scan, are compiledand evaluated. In this sense, the artists looking for innovations, however the efforts ofmodernism of illustration art at the end of 18th Century and the beginning of 19th Century, aretended to eastern culture. For this reason, the Islamic and the Far-east calligraphy had taken aplace in the Illustration Art.In this section where it is referred how the calligraphic mentality had taken a place; itis also referred to calligraphic mentality which is composed with its esthetic values.Furthermore, it is referred with examples that how the artists which are studying withcalligraphic mentality in illustration arts as thesis and what kind of sensibility is exposed bythem.In the second section, the basic plastic elements of the illustration art, the line, thecolor and the organic form is referred. It is defined; its psychological effects are researchedand how it is discussed in the illustration art, are investigated in this sense.In the third section, the results obtained from the application of the thesis and revealedproductions are referred. The illustrations are depended on self imagination without lookingfor any extract from nature. During the studies, random formations had taken a place due tothe calligraphic mentality supposed by the composition. Thus, transformation of the paint tothe exciting forms is interested. Excitement feeling on the formation of an illustration andexposed surprises are bringing about a technical sufficiency during the organic developmentof an illustration. Technique is not only the usage of the material. Technique is also a fruitionstep of an artist?s own specific thought.
