Investigation of the humor lives of wrestling announcements

Humor, which is believed to be important in terms of strengthening and facilitating the communication of individuals, is thought to affect the athletes' mental behavior and attitudes, as well as the ability of coaches to show the movements to the athletes in the sports environment. For this reason, the purpose of the research is to examine the humor experiences of wrestling coaches. For this purpose, 182 male wrestling coaches between the ages of 21-68, working as coaches in 18 provinces of Turkey, participated in the study. As a data collection tool in the study, "Personal Information Form" was used to determine demographic data and "Humor Experiences Scale" was used to measure humor styles. SPSS V23 analysis program was applied to analyze the data. Descriptive statistics and t test analysis for independent groups were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analyses, there is no significant difference in the humor styles sub-dimensions of the coaches' education level and experience period variables (p>0.5). A significant difference was determined in terms of age (p = 0.024). It has been determined that coaches over the age of 51 have low KYM levels. Again, a significant difference was determined in the CM (p = 0.048) and KYM dimensions in the study groups (p = 0.005). It was determined that the group working with young people had higher KM levels than the group working with adults. It was determined that KYM levels of those working with children and adults were higher than those working with stars and young people. A significant difference was determined according to being in the national team (p = 0.001). It has been determined that the KM levels of those who are not in the national team are higher. According to the results, it was determined that when KGM increases in coaches, the KM and KYM levels will increase and the SM level will decrease.
