Abstract (EN)
The main scope of this study is the Arab-Israeli conflicts between 1948 and 1973 and how and why Israel securitized these conflicts. In the study, firstly, the approaches of international relations theories to the concept of security are discussed. Then, the changes that the concept of security has undergone from past to present are explained. Then, the main focus of the thesis is on the Arab-Israeli conflicts. In this context, the process was read through the wars, conflicts, peace treaties and statements of government officials and explained from the perspective of the concept of securitization. The question of why the State of Israel perceives the conflicts as an extraordinary security threat is answered and the underlying political, social, religious and psychological reasons are explained.
