Teacher and student's view relating to use of digital medium in graphic design lessons at fine arts and sport high school: Diyarbakır sample

Generating the product in the understanding of contemporary art, in changing and developing world, requires to be open to innovations and to keep himself up to date as an artist. As well the artist pursuit the technological developments, you must put these innovations in the structure of art education. One of the schools whose goal is to educate students according to this objective is Fine Arts and Sports High Schools (FASHS).The aim of this project is to study the subjects of the graphic design lessons given in Art Department of FASHS and also to study the processing format of the lessons and the satisfaction for need of today?s conditions.This research was performed during the 2010-2011 educational years with the art department teacher and 12.th class of art department students of Diyarbakır FASHS. In the research personal information forms, questionnaires that teachers opinions about the graphic design course and the attitude scale for students were applied to the students and teachers as a means of data collection. SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) computer programme was used in the analysis of the research data and frequency, percentage and t-test were applied.The results of this research show that if the quality of education and the usage of the technology are increased. In the research, the researcher?s proposals which are related to the problems that appears in the research have been discussed.
