Abstract (EN)

Ser'iyye Registers are of great importance for the Ottoman state city history researches. With court record in the relevant region, information is obtained on socio-economic, administrative, legal, economic, military, security, guardian appointment, marriage, divorce, debt and similar issues. The breadth of the duty content of the kadi creates a wealth of subjects in the registers. The wideness of the Ser'iyye registers in terms of their content shows that these sources are essential to be the subject of Ottoman historical studies. In this thesis, the transcription and evaluation of the 9 th Amasya Ser'iyye Register dated H.1062 (1651-1652) were made. With this kadi book, it is aimed to shed light on a certain part of the 17th century for the local history of Amasya, which is one of the important cities of Anatolia and also known as the city of Princes.
