This study focuses on determining the vocabulary, frequency and frequency rates in newsletter [basic words (nouns, nominals; verbs, verbals; function words; meaningful-function words), proverbs and idioms, duplications, fixed expressions] in newsletter. Studies on vocabulary are important to built a common universe of words, to protect our culture and transmit it to the future generations, to develop effective communication skills, to create data on the education and teaching of the official standard language in harmony with national strategic objectives; to contribute to the preparation of qualified textbooks, children's and youth literature products, second language/ foreign language teaching, linguistics, lexicography and corpus linguistics and to organize the contents that will be presented to the general audience / viewers / readers through media. In this study, which is a case study, the interlocking single case pattern was used. Document analysis was used in data collection and content analysis method was used as a basis in the process of interpreting the data. Within the scope of the research, the raw text pool of 1.495.416 words that constitutes all the main news bulletins published in TRT 1 between January 01, 2015 - December 31, 2015 was reached. Processes like cleaning, correction and merging were applied on the raw texts. After applying the processes mentioned above, 1.143.663 vocabulary elements formed the main data set of our study. The data has been processed meticulously, and has been analyzed in terms of vocabulary. In the lists given under the titles "Vocabulary of Newsletter", "Proverbs in Newsletter", "Idioms in Newsletter", "Fixed Expressions in Newsletter", "Duplications in Newsletter", "Verbs in Newsletter", "Compound Verbs in Newsletter", "Separately Written Compound Words in Newsletter", "Top 2.000 Vocabulary Items in Newsletter" words, their frequencies and ratios had presented. 39.978 unique vocabulary items had been defined in the newsletter. Among these items, 26 are proverbs, 2.458 are idioms, 437 are fixed expressions, 585 are duplications, 13.778 are proper nouns, 2.108 are verbs, 2.297 are compound verbs, 1.760 are separately written compound words and 3.681 are numbers that represent date or time. The 12.848 words left over are other vocabulary items.
