Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to measure the leisure satisfaction of male individuals who spend their leisure time playing football in certain artificial turfs in Antalya and to examine the injuries that occur while playing football. The research's study group consists of 300 volunteer male individuals over the age of 18 who play football on the artificial turf in their leisure time. Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS), which has six sub-dimensions, and a questionnaire form were applied to the participants to determine the demographic characteristics and the status of injury. Among the participants, 200 (66.6%) stated that they had an injury while playing football on the artificial turf in their leisure time. It was determined that the participants mostly experienced injuries in the foot and ankle (47.8%), knee (28.6%) and groin (20.2%) regions. Participants believe that most of the injuries arise from competitor intervention (49.3%), not enough warming (33.0%), the ground-field (23.2%). It has been determined that individuals who play football on their leisure time on the artificial turf have high leisure time satisfaction. The highest scores in LSS 6 sub-dimensions; relaxation (3.99 points), social (3.80 points), education (3.80 points) sub-dimensions. A significant correlation was found between the artificial Turf experience of the participants (years of playing) and the LSS sub-dimensions (excluding the aesthetic sub-dimension) and total sub-dimension mean scores (p <0.05). It was determined that there was a significant difference between those who warmed up and those who did not, in favor of those who warmed, in the LSS education, relaxation and physiological sub-dimensions (p <0.05). It was determined that the total and sub-dimension scores of those who did not experience the same disability again in the artificial turf were higher than those with disability, but there was a significant difference (p <0.05) only in the aesthetic subdimension. It is thought that individuals who spend their leisure time playing football on the artificial turfs will increase the probability of disruption in their daily lives due to the high rate of injury or injury due to their high leisure time satisfaction. Considering that the sub-dimension with the lowest score is the aesthetic sub-dimension, it can be said that a re-arrangement of the environment may be needed.
