Haldun Taner and human

In this study titled "Haldun Taner and Human", Haldun Taner's approach to humans has been determined in the light of contemporary approaches, new orientations and reading styles by focusing on the "human problem" which seems to be visible in Haldun Taner's narratives. In the study, besides the text analysis method, the orientation of Umberto Eco, which prioritizes cooperation with the author, is "exemplary reader" and explains the narrative with the metaphor of "forest". In this context, in order to penetrate the depths of the narratives, many different disciplines and close reading styles were also used, and it was determined under which situations he accepted and approved the human in Haldun Taner's narratives, and in which situations he did not approve. Haldun Taner thinks that when a person who makes sense of existence is freed from his conditioning, gets rid of being an "ostrich" and sees the truth and struggles, he can realize the conditions of existence. In this way, Taner brings to the agenda the search for an ideal society based on human love, modern, democratic, egalitarian, and where everyone will find a place to live. In the study, in which the role of the artist in Turkish theater and story is emphasized, Taner's contribution to these genres is revealed. In order to clarify Taner's original style, the language and expression features used by the author in his narratives are embodied with examples from his work. Considering that Haldun Taner, who was determined to rely on a polyphonic narrative fiction with the possibilities of irony and humor, created his work with a message with the understanding of educating people, the determination of the author's view of the society in which he lives and is a part; Determining the degree of coherence-consistency of his thoughts with his "ideal human imagination" is also seen as an academic benefit in the study.
