Social functions of the public education centers on machine embroidery works

Education is lock for contemporaneousness and it is key for development. It is the intentially generated period of evolution on the behaviour of persons. In schools and in works, the education has an aim and has got plans. Shortly, education is a duration of behaviour alteration. In 19th century, it was accepted that the education was the actions taken under a purpose by the old generation to change the behaviours of the new generation. In our century, education starts with birth and ends with death. Education of old people, parents, etc. Due to the fast development of the knowledge, the professionals get education in order to learn and reach the new knowledge. Therefore, education is not only given in schools but also out of schools. In family life, at work and in army, etc, education is given continuously. In literature it is defined differently. The definition of education adapted to the conditions of present-day is that it is the most effective appliance which gives the opportunity to the person increasing creative power of society and efficiency and effectuates the possibility and opportunity of equivalence. In our century, education comprises all activities for not only developping the knowledge, but at the same building up the living style. The opportunity to improve the persons abilities is provided by education. This kind of constitution which is very important for personal and social development can be limited with the time and locality. The systematic education given for specific time period to people with specific age, common speciality shall be supported with the general education in which age, gender, level of education, time and locality is not limited and the development in whole life shall be provided. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the central and topical courses in Public Education Centers from the social needs point of view, eligibility of the Center and quality of education; to specify the alterations in the living quality of participants and to determine the social function of the general education foundations. Machine embroidery courses not adapting themselves to the technological developments and not using these developments in the general education foundations is thought as problem. In this research, functions of machine embroidery courses, which are in the programs of one of the general education foundations, Public Education Centers, in meeting the needs of people and society in parallel to the altering social structure; transfer of these functions to the plans and programs that will be created later; the functions, efficiency and social impacts of machine embroidery courses on social in Public Education Centers will be analyzed and evaluated. 3 central and 7 topical courses which was chosen casually from the 16 Public Education Centers in Ankara city boundary are taken in the scope of this research. The opinions of participants, teachers and administrators will be evaluated. The literature for this subject will be scanned and the previous studies will be examined. The questionnaire improved by the researcher will be applied to a group comprised of experts and operators and their opinions will be got and the necessary modifications will be done. After modification, the last version of the questionnaire will be applied to the group comprised of teachers, participants and administrators. The data received after the application of this questionnaire will be evaluated according to suitable statistical methods; results and suggestions will be submitted. At the end, the references used in literature survey and in this study and one copy of each questionnaire applied to the persons will be annexed to this study
