First artist of Turkish Folk poem is 'poet'. The poet, who ıs the most importent element of the Turkısh Folk Literature, performed their arts accompanied by kopuz in our oral literature tradition. Emerging with poet or epic tradition the pre Islam folk poem achieved a new form and content with the effect of Islam culture in Anatolia. The Turkish Folk Poem tradition, which has a religious-mystical nature that gives utterance to love for God with the influence of dervishes who come from Middle Asia especially from Horasan. Religious-sufistic Turkish poem lived genesis and prepartion period on X-XII th. , development and extension period on XIII-XV.th , pause and recession perıod on XVI-XVII.th. The poem wnet along the recession period during XVIII. ?XIX. ?XX th could not reach the most productie and mature period in XIII th.We haven?t got much information about the first periods of Folk Style Poem Tradition of Turkish that is accepted as the continuation of Folk Poem. So XVIth century was as the preparatory period of Folk Style Poem Tradition of Turkish XVIIth century was the golden age for Folk Style Poem Tradition of Turkish in which Âşık Ömer, Ercişli Emrah, Karacaoğlan, Köroğlu. After this golden age Folk Style Poem Tradition of Turkish had a recession period however in XIXth century it reached its culmination again. Losing ground during XXth century the Folk Style Poem Tradition of Turkish is still surviving today in accordance with the circumstances of the age.As a method, from general to special, we gave general information about of Turkish Folk Poem which is very important in the perspective of Folk Poem Tradition and folk literature, Folk Style Poem Tradition and general specialties of Turkish Folk Literatüre. First of all Halil Çivi was introduced and given information about his gathering identity and then hıs poem examined by gathering that in Sivas, Tokat, Erzurum, Aydın, Malatya, İstanbul and neighbor towns,Halil Çivi had been presented with information compiled from poem and main theme of his poem was mentioned and an attempt was made to have literary circles get acquainted with him through his poem. We see the features of these changes during mentioned centuries with Halil Çivi as well. Halil Çivi was not affected from drinking sweetene juice in his dream or growing up together with master folk while he was telling the poems. The main reasons that lead him star to tell poems were the ambiance that he lived in, financial deficiencies, injustice event he faced, loss of his lovings, homesickness and giving priority to the social problems as well as having a poetric features. Halil Çivi who uses his name and surname as nickname and mention date has used mostly half ryhme in his poems that he wrote in quatrain poetry by using syllable measure. He is a kind of folk poet who gave place to the similes, get use from idioms and proverbs in his love, death, desire, complain from lover, time and destiny and religion.Up to now there has not been any scientific study about Halil Çivi and his poem has not yet been discovered by researches of literature. We trend to gather his poems under the narration titles and Then we tried to set his place in Folk Poem. in tradition by analysing his 200 poems in detail in terms of form, language, expression features, diction, content and their relation with Folk Style Poem Tradition of Turkish.In the study, folk poems were examined regarding their content which were grouped in nine main groups as materialistic love and social poems, Longing, advice, national matter and the religi-sufistic poems. As soon as we investigate at the end of study we give ?Bibliography? and ?Information about source persons?. The study had been completed by the bibliography section, so, we had been tried to appreciate Halil Çivi?s folk poem among Folk Poem Tradition and folk literature.
