Abstract (EN)
XX. Michel Foucault (1926-1984), one of the leading philosophers and theorists of the 20th century thinkers, has gained a unique place in modern philosophy with his criticism and research on the concept of subject. He has became prominent in modern and postmodern philosophy with the concepts used for the historical development, institution and destruction of the subject. In the Foucauldian search for the subject, the ideas of the experience of subjectivity, which are the results of historical context, power analyzes, and discursive practices, have been examined. In this context, experiences of insanity, sexuality, intellectual, determining and determined subjectivity are analyzed. It has given opportunity the concepts to researched in language, literature etc and different imterpretations and perspectives for its application in novels. In this study, within the framework of Foucault's subject search it is aimed to the novels of Hasan Ali Toptaş, one of the important writers of postmodern Turkish literature, Gölgesizler, Sonsuzluğa Nokta, Bin Hüzünlü Haz, Uykuların Doğusu, Kuşlar Yasına Gider, Kayıp Hayaller Kitabı, Heba. This study was carried out under seven main topic. In the first episode called "Searching for the Subject in the Gölgesizler", the subjects in the novel were examined with respect Foucault's definition of subject. In the episode called searching subject in ''Sonsuzluğa Nokta" and in the episode called "Searching Subject in Bin Hüzünlü Haz", the search for the subject is also emphasized. In the episode called "Searching Subject in the Uykuların Doğusu" the search for the subject has been examined. In the episode called "The Search Subject in Kuşlar Yasına Gider", the subject continued. In the episode called "Searching Subject in the Kayıp Hayaller Kitabı". In the episode called "Searching subject in Heba" the existence of the subjects was examined. From Foucault's understanding of the subject, the concept of subject in the novels was examined and applied to the characters in the novels.
