The cri̇ti̇cal essayi̇sm of Hasan Öztürk

This research has been put forward to evaluate Hasan Öztürk's studies on the deficiencies of objective criticism and the issues that should be considered for the development of objective criticism. The research was carried out through Öztürk's books titled "Understanding from the Language of the Book", "Trace of Writing", "The Dream in the Mirror", "Fiction and Reality", "Literature Looking at Itself", "Agenda Literature" and "Three Stop Journey", which he wrote with his unique style and literary equipment. In the study, it was observed that Öztürk frequently emphasized phenomena such as politics, freedom, ideology, individuality, education and aesthetics in his criticism, and his opinions on literary figures were also included. It is understood that his criticism on literary genres is mostly focused on novels and short stories. He evaluated the essay genre with a special approach and saw it as the genre in which freedom and originality can find the most space. In this study, Hasan Öztürk's criticism has been highlighted as an example for many critics. His advice to artists who will take a new step in the literary community is also included in the study. The study reveals the contribution of these approaches and recommendations of Öztürk to the world of art. His ideas that the development of literature is related to the interest, production and creativity of the younger generation are also included. In his criticism of novels and stories, he touches upon details such as form and narrative technique, character, fiction and intellectual structure. The connection between the work and the artist is explained with examples. Öztürk, who objectively handles the language, expression and stylistic features of writers, poets and critics from his own point of view, has been determined to have written his works with a text-centered criticism approach. At the same time, the language, expression and stylistic features of Öztürk are also included.
