.The purpose of this thesis is to study the linguistic structure in the poetry of Hassan Amer, a contemporary poet who won many awards and honors. The scope of this study is determined by two collections of poetry: "As He Who Tried the Way" and "The Shepherd's Nap". The importance of this study comes from being an applied study of the structural approach in contemporary Arabic poetry. It deals with the phonetic, rhythmic, morphological, semantic and syntactic structure in Hassan Amer's poetry, thus standing on his semantic fields, and revealing the aesthetics of his poetic texts. This study relies on the analytical descriptive approach, when extrapolating, analyzing, and deconstructing poetic texts to determine the poet's linguistic styles. The study's conclusions were: The poet diversified in his writing style between vertical poetry in which he imitated the ancients, and used free verse style (al-Tafilah), And that his imagination indicates his rural upbringing, his intellectual, literary and poetic knowledge, and that nature was his first inspiration, and for this reason his images were characterized by excitement and novelty, which gave his texts excitement, suspense, verbal and moral adornment, in addition to his distinctive poetic music. And that he always tries to break free from restrictions, and reveal his emotional feelings without being fake or pretentious. He deviated from analogy, and made himself a linguistic dictionary, so we find in his poetry a lot of aural vocabulary, The present tense is often used by him to indicate the present and the future, and that he relied on words containing Madd letters; To give the text something of vocal softness and poetic lyricism, And that he follows the method of contradiction to astonish the reader, and create an emotional shock in his conscience, and that the poet Hassan Amer, with his texts and culture, is the opposite of the image of the modern Arab poet, who is distinguished by his wide knowledge of the ancient literary heritage and contemporary global culture.
