The effects of leadership characteristics of managers on the performance of employees in hospitals: A case study

The concept of leadership is important in guiding today's business world. The vision of the leaders in the background of the institutions that add creative solutions and accelerate the social transformation is the vision of the leaders. In this study, the concepts of leadership and working performance which are extremely important are discussed together. In this context, the research conducted on the employees of a public hospital operating in Istanbul investigated the impact of the leadership style in the hospital on employee performance and the extent to which leadership styles affect employee performance. The high performance of the hospital institutions, which provide intensive service and labor, is an important factor in the performance of employees The research has increased the importance of the relationship between the two concepts in the field of health as the quality of health service delivery has been prepared in recent years when the health institutions were restructured and they were prepared to determine the effects of leadership characteristics of the employees on the performance of hospital employees. It was seen that the leadership characteristics of the hospital administrators affected the performance of hospital employees. Employee performance and leadership behavior sub-dimensions are only interpreted in a positive and positive manner. The increase in the task-oriented leadership development of the employees positively affects their performance in the same direction.
