Özet (EN)

Firms have started to provide higher quality and more well priced products that contacts customers in shorter time for placing and being permanents in hard competition area. With considering customer expectations, providing products that have better than these expectations is being obligated. While doing these actions, some quality techniques are used such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Design of Experiment (DoE), Concurrent Engineering (CE) for making minimum mistakes, continuity quality and optimum costs. All quality techniques aim making improvements that are for rising profits and making them constant. For easy implementation, most preferred technique is Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) that is one of quality improvement technique.Failure Modes and Effects Analysis aim destroying the failures that not appear in present state but could appear in future in their source and not being lived their effects along with prevention existing failures. The most common using area of FMEA is design stage. In firm-wide it is diversified according to using area such as production process, system process and service process. Easy implementation and using in all sector make it most advantageous than the other quality techniques. In this study, FMEA was implemented in detergent sector. Previously Quality Function Deployment, Design of Experiment, Concurrent Engineering techniques were defined and then Failure Modes and Effects Analysis was defined in detail. After these explanations, Process FMEA was implemented for production process and results were evaluated in a factory that produces detergent.Key Words: Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Risk Priority Number, Detergent, Powdered Laundry Detergent
