Abstract (EN)
At the present day, one of early in environment problems which threaten the world is global warming. Although GHG emission will be increase incoming year, the aim in 2050 to reduce emission levels by 80 percent of what they were in 1990. Carbondioxide is the main factor of global warming. Companies wants to reduce carbon emission.The purpose of this study to help companies prepare a GHG inventory, to investigate airport carbon accreditation process applications and to offer suggestions for improvement. This study consists of four parts. In the first part generally GHG Protocol and what is content is mentioned. In the second part, the airport carbon accreditation scheme is explained. In the third part, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) that is one of the quality improvement tools is mentioned. In the final part, carbon accreditation process activities in TAV Izmir is mentioned and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) has been done to investigate causes of carbon emission. According to Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), suggestions for improvement are offered.
