Abstract (EN)

Airports play a pivotal and indispensable role in fostering both regional and global economic development, primarily owing to their capacity to uphold seamless operations within intricate supply chains. However, notwithstanding their paramount importance, the issue of how airports can be managed more effectively and how their overall performance can be enhanced remains inadequately addressed. This research endeavors to propose a conceptual framework grounded in stakeholder theory, seeking to elucidate the impact of inter-stakeholder transparency and voice behavior on the performance of airport stakeholders and the airport platform. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 key participants occupying managerial positions in aviation enterprises (i.e., Airport, Airline, and Ground Handling Services) operating at Istanbul Airport. Data analysis for this investigation, based on the tenets of embedded theory within the context of Qualitative Research design, was meticulously carried out utilizing the Maxqda Analytics Pro 2020 software. The research findings reveal that stakeholders engage in both proactive and preventive voice behavior to enhance the functioning of their respective roles. Additionally, it was observed that stakeholders demonstrate transparency towards one another concerning the issues related to voice behavior. Furthermore, it was determined that the voice behavior and transparency among airport stakeholders have a positive impact on company performance, consequently contributing to the overall performance of the airport platform.
