Abstract (EN)

Airline operations are always open to crises by the force of their system. That is to say that each airline operation, being whether aware or unaware of the situation, is under the risk of a crisis which might occur due to the operational, strategic, financial or non-operating reasons. These crises might cause institutions like airline operations that have to work under high risk to encounter some serious problems. To set a course to follow for this kind of situation, to make detailed and alternative plans will enable an operation to get over the crisis with the minimum effect. On the section one of this study; the concept of crisis management is examined as three parts which are pre-crisis, crisis moment and post crisis. Besides, the relation between crisis management and risk management, and the topic of crisis management in airline operations are explained. On the second section; as well as the matters of reputation management concept, the elements creating reputation, protecting the reputation, there are also review on how an efficient crisis management affects the operation's reputation in the short and the long run, and evaluate the future perspectives of the operations which are developing or have lost their reputation. And on the third section; as a result of in-depth interviews with the responsible person of airlines, crisis management attitudes of airline operations and the effects of these attitudes on corporate reputation are examined.
