The level of all heavy metals were the highest in liver and the lowest in the muscle. In addition, it has been found that the concentrations of Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn were different according to tissues and organs. The results were compared with the other tolerable values for heavy metals provided from WHO, FAO and Ministry of Agriculture and it was determined that there was not any risk for humans healty when this fish species was consumed as food.
