Abstract (EN)

In our century the rapidly developed technology and the cahanges in the field of information have added a highly different dimension to the fact of consumption. Thanks to the well-developed of communication, it is a fact that the consumption needs of the patential and actual consumers are rederigned and formed. Within the perpective of the effort, the careful scruting and analysis a must in order to enable the marketing activities of the businesses to attain the expected results. As a result of the searches conducted, it has been accepted that consumers have more different dimensions and aspects than the rational problem solvers who strive to find a maximum benefit to their problems. Consumers not only do shopping just to meet their needs but also try to pleasure in consumption. Therefore, the symbolic meanings of products and trade Marks have become the most significant ways of gaining a competition advantage.The approach called ?Hedonistic Consumption? is an important guideline in the respect of being able to understand the consumer and has an important position in the direction of increasing the business and competitive power marketing researchers.İn the present study aiming to indicate the effects of demographic factors on hedonistic consumption, in the first chapter the nation of consumer behavior has been dealt with. İn the second chapter, the historical development of the nation of ?Hedonistic Consumption? has been studied, and in the last chapter the interaction between hedonistic consumption and demographic factors has been denoted by the help of analyses.Keywords: Consumer Behaviour, Hedonism, Hedonic Consumption
