The Opinions of the nurses working at Çukurova University`s balcalı Hospital about the causes of the problems encountered in communication with patients

This descriptive study is aimed to determine the opinions, suggestions and expextations of the nurses working at Çukurova University's Balcali Hospital about the causes of the problems encountered by them during their communication with patients. The resarch population is compused of the hospital in Yüreğir and Seyhan, Adana during the tear of 2000-2001. To collect data instrument were devolepment by the resarcher. The study group is random consisted of 145 (31.3 %) of 464 nurses working at Çukurova University's Balcali Hospital. The analyses were performed by chi-square tests. The analyses revealed that the communications were generally positive the opinion of the nurses, in contrast to the difference between the attitudes and the approach of the nurses towards patients and their personal properties. The most prominent factors impeding the communication between nurses and patients were the crowdness of the clinics and its consequences.
