Tionship of empathy, empathy skills and motivations in nurses

A healthy life is the right of every individual. People receive help from health institutions to regain their health or lose their lives healthier. In health institutions, many professions work together in the presentation of health services, working together in a business association. Nurses are only one of these professional groups. Nursing services, has an important place in the implementation of health services. Nurses patients are in direct contact with patients' relatives and other health institution employees. The performance displayed by nurses directly affects the quality of health care services. In this study, empathy, empathy skills and motivation are discussed in nurses. The study was prepared by literature review. The study was prepared in three sections. The first section explains the concept of empathy. Motivation concept is described in the second part. In the third part, the concepts of empathy and motivation are handled in nurses. According to the results of the study, patients with a nurse empathy skills, may establish effective and successful relationships with patients, relatives and colleagues. However, they allow the delivery of quality health services. Likewise, the success of motivated nurses has been observed. It can be said that highly motivated nurses are successful in communicating. In order to provide quality nursing services, importance can be given to nurses' efforts to improve their empathy skills and to increase their motivation.
