Abstract (EN)
The study was carried out in a descriptive and relational design in order to examine the effects of nurses' holistic nursing competencies on job satisfaction and intention to leave, and related factors. The study was conducted between 08 March 2021 and 05 May 2021 in a training and research hospital with a capacity of 413 beds in Ankara. Sample selection was not made in the study, and 342 nurses out of 414 who made up the population were included in the study. Ethics committee approval, institutional permission and written consent from the participants were obtained for the study. Data; It was collected using the Introductory Information Form, the Holistic Nursing Competence Scale , the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire Scale, and the Intention to Leave Subscale. Percentage, frequency, "ANOVA", Tukey, "Mann-Whitney U", "Kruskal-Wallis H" tests, Bonferroni correction, "Spearman" correlation coefficient and multivariate regression analysis were used to evaluate the data. Nurses' Holistic Nursing Competence Scale [5.05±1.1, (min-max, 1.6-7.0)], Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire Scale [3.17±0.75, (min-max, 1.0-5.0)], Intention to Leave Sub-Scale [(2.63±) 1.67, (min-max, 1.0-7.0)] mean score is moderate. A positive, weak and statistically significant relationship was found between the sub-dimensions of Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire Scale, 'Internal Satisfaction', 'External Satisfaction' and 'General Satisfaction' and the total and sub-dimensions of the Holistic Nursing Competence Scale (p<0.05). A negative, very weak and statistically significant relationship was found between the Intention to Leave Sub-Scale and the total and sub-dimensions of the Holistic Nursing Competence Scale (p<0.05). The most effective independent variable on the Holistic Nursing Competence Scale sub-dimension scores is the 'Internal Satisfaction ˮ score from the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire Scale sub-dimension scores. As a result; In order to determine other factors affecting holistic nursing proficiency, it is recommended that the research be conducted in larger populations with different variables. Keywords: Holistic nursing competence, turnover intention, job satisfaction.
