The research was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the situations in which nurses working in hospitals in Turkey encountered discourteous behavior. The study population of the research; It consists of nurses working in public, university and private hospitals in Turkey. The sample of the research consisted of 408 nurses reached by snowball sampling method. A data collection form containing the nurses' introductory information and the Nursing Incivility Scale was used to collect the data. Data analysis was done in SPSS 26.0 statistics program; number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values were made using Independent t test and one-way analysis of variance. In the study, the average score of the nurses on the Nursing Incivility Scale was found to be 137,17 ± 30,31. Factors such as the unit where nurses work, having children, thinking that their profession is valuable, experiencing problems in the work environment, experiencing stress in the work environment, receiving professional support from their colleagues, receiving material and moral satisfaction from their profession, considering leaving their profession, and professional burnout level statistically affect their encounter with uncivil behavior. It was determined that it had a significant effect (p<0,05). Additionally, it was determined that 66,6% of the nurses encountered discourteous behavior from visitors/patients' relatives, 65,0% from manager nurses, 58,2% from physicians and 53,1% from nurses. As a result, it was determined that the average score of nurses experiencing uncivil behavior was high.
