Özet (EN)

This study was conducted in a cross-sectional, descriptive, and relationship-seeking type in order to determine the psychological well-being levels of nurses who gave or still give care to patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 and to examine the factors affecting their psychological well-being. The research was carried out with 300 nurses who took an active role in the care of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 or continued to care for these patients between June and December 2021 in Ankara City Hospital, Neurology-Orthopedics Hospital. In data collection, Personal Information Form, Psychological Well-Being Scale, Psychological Capital Scale and Spirituality Scale were used. Descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation analysis, Hierarchical Multiple Linear Regression Analysis (Enter model) were used to evaluate the data. The mean age of the nurses participating in the study was 27.53±6.40 years, 65.7% of them were women and 82.7% of them were undergraduates. It was determined that the psychological well-being of nurses was positively correlated with the dimensions of psychological capital, spirituality levels, nutrition, exercise, maintaining hobbies, social support, job satisfaction and quality of work life (p<0.0001). As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that in the 3rd Model, nurses' status of maintaining their hobbies (β = .51), the self-efficacy sub-dimension of psychological capital (β = .49), and spirituality (β = .05) significantly predicted the level of psychological well-being (R=. 76, R2 = .58, Adjusted R2 = .56). This model explained 56% of the change in nurses' psychological well-being levels. KEYWORDS: Nurse, Hobby, Spirituality, Psychological well-being, Psychological capital
