Özet (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the training given to nurses about communication and anger management skills with standard patients by randomly controlled experimental pattern. The study was applied at an education and research hospital from March 2017 to December 2017. The study was conducted with 26 nurses in the experimental group and 30 nurses in the control group. In the study, sociodemographic data gathering form, CSI, and STAXI were used. Both groups were trained. Training in standard patients was given to the experiment group after the theoretical training. The scales were applied to the groups three times; before training, after training and six months later after the trainings were completed. The evaluation of the data used 22.0 SPSS package program. As a result of the research a significant difference was found statistically among measures of scale instruments score averages (p<0.05). Whereas a significant difference was found at the scores of behavioral and emotional scale instruments of CSI's scale instruments for the nurses in the control group (p<0.05), In a similar way, while a significant difference emerged at anger control scores, one of the scale instruments of STAXI (p<0.05), a significant difference was not observed at other scale instruments (p>0.05). The use of simulation training at schools and institutions has been suggested as a result of this study which proves the superiority of simulation training with standard patients to lecturing.
