Method: The theory-research-theory strategy was performed in the model development process. A mixed method study was conducted examining the effectiveness of the psychosexual nursing care program in infertile women which was adopted by based on the Salutogenesis Model. In the mixed method research, design of qualitative dimension was grounded theory, and design of quantitative dimension was randomized controlled study. During developing the model, findings obtained from the research, Salutogenesis Model and related literature were used. Results: It has been determined that psychosexual nursing care has protective effect on the sexual function and satisfaction levels, and promote effect on the levels of sexual self-esteem and self-efficacy of infertile women. From the qualitative findings, the core category "I first need to be empowered as an individual and to make sense of sexuality in order to reach the state of sexual well-being." has been obtained.
