Abstract (EN)
The objective of this study is to determine the standard of manpower and required nurses based on a clinical workload sample. To achieve these objectives an examination had made on a sampled intensive care unit. The importance of this research is to determine required amount of labour to give the ideal workload planning. Much more care should taken for the success of the service especially in the health sector, when human life is the issue. The workforce planning, and determining the number of required personnel and correctly making the distribution of tasks will contribute to success of the health services. The aim of this study was to investigate the tasks and the time consumption of nurses for these tasks who are working at neurology clinic and compare work/time evaluation results of the nurses according to their individual features. The research sample is composed from the nurses who are working in Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Faculty of Medicine hospital's neurology clinic. Each of these eight nurses who are working in this clinic was observed three times and the average of these three observation was compared. The differences between nurses were determined in the terms of time consumption for a task, gender and age. Ideal timing for all works and distance of every nurses to ideal timing was calculated. Task distribution was suggested to staff according to obtained findings.
