Abstract (EN)
In the 19th and 20th centuries the definition and dimensions of art changed with developments in technology, progressive science, changing social and political orders, phenomena, war, exploration, etc. The different currents and approaches that have emerged have resulted in major changes in the relationship between artists, art objects and art materials. Alongside these changes, the limitation of the material of the art object, has today given way to a greater diversity, and together with this, the restrictive effects of the artist's mind and work have been lifted. With the idea in art of infiniteness, interdisciplinary interaction has increased in strength, intertwined, and new types and different approaches have begun to emerge. The interdisciplinary approaches are divided into types according to the different dimensions of the boundaries of the disciplines involved. The concept of cross-discipline, one of these types, is important as a method and approach that involves the interaction between two or more different disciplines, which enables one discipline to work together with another discipline, but this use was not found in plastic arts in the past. From this perspective the cross-disciplinary approach in research is the interaction of two disciplines, an example of this type of research being where the formal features of the art of sculpture are shaped from the perspective of graphic design. In this direction, the basic elements which form the graphic language are found and transferred to the area of sculpture as a method in terms of their formal characteristics. As a result of the research that has been conducted over the past decade, studies termed "graphic sculpture" have been given as an example demonstrating in a cross-disciplinary approach the use of the graphic language in the field of sculpture, and the specific art movements in the history of art that have been triggered by this interaction are mentioned. Keywords: Cross Disciplinary Approach, Graphic Language, Graphic Sculpture, Interdisciplinarity, Multidisciplinary Approach.
