Faundation and activties of the red crescent asociation's Antalya branch

This thesis analyses the foundation and works of Hilal-i Ahmer Association, always taking its place near the Turkish people with the services it provides in the case of disasters such as war, earthquake, fire flooding, epidemic, and the foundation and works of one of the important branches, Antalya Hilal-i Ahmer Association. Apart from the central administration, which was in İstanbul in the beginning and later was moved to Ankara, Hilal-i Ahmer Association opened branches everywhere in the country. It took important steps in serving and helping Turkish people. The period between the last years of the Ottoman Empire and the first years of the Turkish Republic is considered in the analysis. The continuity during the transition period from The Ottoman time to the Republic is stressed and Antalya Hilal-i Ahmer Association is examined in detail.
