This study of patients with essential hypertension, treatment compliance, and identifying factors that affect the quality of life is a descriptive study to examine the relationship between them.Our investigation, Firat University Hospital, Cardiology Department between 01.09.2010-30.03.2011 and outpatients with a diagnosis of essential hypertension for at least three months, non-cognitive functions affect disease, 18 years and 220 patients participated voluntarily.After the data description required by the investigator and the patient records of the method of examining the collected face to face. The literature examining the question prepared by the researcher gathering data form, the SF-36 Quality of Life Scale and the Drug-Fidelity/Adaptation of Self-Efficacy Scale were collected using. To assess the data, using SPSS for Windows 15 (Statistical Package of Social Sciences for Windows) package program, percentage, mean, standard deviation, the Independent-Samples T, Man-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis Variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis and Cronbach's ? used.
