Abstract (EN)
In this study, the ceremonial ceramic pots of the Hittite period, which are our cultural heritage and developed in the Anatolian lands, were examined. The Hittite Empire is one of the oldest and most powerful empires of antiquity and is today known for its historical ruins found in Turkey's Konya, Çorum, Ankara and Hatay regions. The Hittite Empire produced various ceramic vessels used in ceremonial and daily life. These vessels were used for ceremonial purposes and were used for important events such as marriage ceremonies, honoring the gods, as well as daily life. Ceremonial pottery from the Hittite period was decorated with ceremonial symbols and ornaments such as animal figures. These decorations reflect ceremonial culture and beliefs. These vessels are important historical artifacts that help to understand the lifestyle and beliefs of ancient civilizations. Today, it is preserved as a part of our historical and cultural heritage and passed on to future generations. These practices aim to convey the cultural distributions of the past by using traditional Hittite motifs and symbols and aim to contribute to the rich culture of Anatolia and reinterpret the art of the Hittite period with a modern perspective. Ceramic pots produced during the application phase include original care, inspired by the principles of traditional Hittite art, and thus keep the currentness of the past alive today. Ceremonial symbols and figures enter the depths of the works and ensure that they not only indicate an aesthetic value but also carry cultural meaning. These practices are a continuation of the effort to keep cultural production alive and transfer it to future generations by combining traditional art with modern creativity.
