Contribution of tolerance value to social peace and reconciliation culture

Human beings, whose creation is a life-psycho-social life, live with very different religions, races and cultures from a very early age due to the global age currently they live in and face cultural encounters during life. Due to the fact that in the life skills of the people of this age, values that help to adapt to multicultural and pluralistic life come to the fore. At the forefront of these values are the values of tolerance, reconciliation and peace. Therefore, it is of great importance that the concepts such as reconciliation and tolerance, which are effective in the formation of peace, are correctly understood through psycho-social and religious values, and that a common intention can be formed through the values education to be given in families and schools. Understanding the importance of tolerance value can be achieved by making visible its effects on individuals and societies. From the "tolerating the created because of the creator" perspective, the tolerance displayed by the Anatolian people represents the view of the differences of other souls as wealth. The survival of people and societies only depends on the existence of peace. Social peace is possible only if the individual is tolerant and reconciled to those who are different from each other. The aim of this study is to perceive and fulfil the true meaning of tolerance correctly and create a common intention and reveal the effects of this value on social peace and reconciliation.
